THE SIX ICONIC VILLAGES OF COURCHEVEL:
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE ALPS

Courchevel is one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the world, but it is also a destination rich in diversity thanks to its six villages, each offering a totally individual ambience. From the elegance of Courchevel 1850 to the authenticity of Saint-Bon, each village exudes its own unique charm. Let’s take a closer look at Courchevel’s six iconic villages.

Courchevel 1850 : Luxury at Altitude

Courchevel 1850 is the jewel in the resort’s crown, renowned for its luxury and chic appeal. A popular destination for celebrities and glamour seekers, the village is synonymous with excellence, with its 5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants and haute couture boutiques. Located at the highest altitude, it offers direct access to the best ski slopes in Les 3 Vallées.

THE OTHER VILLAGES OF COURCHEVEL

Courchevel 1650 (Moriond): A Family Feel
Courchevel 1650, also known as Moriond, is more relaxed and family-friendly than its big brother, 1850. Its gentler slopes are ideal for families and first-time skiers. The village has retained all its authentic charm, with a friendly feel and modern facilities, while offering direct access to the major ski areas.

Courchevel 1550: The Family Village
Courchevel 1550 is perfect for those looking for peace and quiet and quick access to the slopes. More affordable than its neighbours, it attracts families thanks to its tranquil surroundings and renowned ski schools. The atmosphere is relaxed and the facilities designed for family-friendly fun.

Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz): Savoyard authenticity
Le Praz, also known as Courchevel 1300, is a traditional village where the Savoyard soul is still very much alive. This picturesque village is known for its wooden chalets and charming winding alleyways. It is also the very heart of Courchevel’s history, steeped in local traditions. Thanks to its cable car, Le Praz offers quick access to the summits while retaining a peaceful and tranquil ambience.

La Tania: Between Nature and Serenity
Nestled in a spruce forest, La Tania is Courchevel’s most recent village. Created in 1990 for the Albertville Olympic Games, it is ideal for skiers looking for total immersion in nature. It is a pedestrianised village offering a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for families and lovers of the great outdoors.

Saint-Bon: The Beginnings of Courchevel
Saint-Bon is the founding village of the resort. Situated at an altitude of 1,100 metres, it is the lowest of the six villages, but is essential to understanding the history of Courchevel. Saint-Bon is an authentic village that has preserved all its architectural heritage and old-world charm. This is where the Courchevel adventure began, with the first ski lift installed in the 1940s.
